xfactor posterTalent scouts from Britain’s most popular talent show, The X Factor are coming to Benidorm to conduct auditions for the next series, which will be broadcast on ITV this autumn. Who knows, even Simon Cowell may come incognito, lurking in the shadows!

This will be the 15th series of the show, which has created some of the biggest recording artists worldwide including One Direction, Little Mix – the first group to win the competition, Olly Murs and Leona Lewis.


BGT banner with filmcrewThe resort is famed for its incredible line up of talented entertainers and the word has spread to the bosses at Thames TV, who are sending out a team of 4 to track them down. Last year the team from 'Britain's Got Talent' came to the resort which caused much excitement here. Which of our entertainers would you like to see get through?

 

X FACTOR Tiki City They will be here for three days and hosting open mic auditions on Friday, April 6 between 11am and 2pm at TIKI CITY on Calle Gerona - just turn up and on Saturday, April 7 between 10am – 4pm at ‘Voices’ in their newly relocated venue on Avenida Doctor Severo Ochoa (past Benidorm Palace). The auditions are open to anyone over the age of 14 and can be solo singers or groups, residents or holidaymakers – everyone is welcome. Who knows, maybe you are talented enough to get through to judges houses and get to perform in front of Simon Cowell or Louis Walsh!

    DIY store Homebase is set to close approximately 60 stores over the next few weeks, threatening more than 1,000 jobs. The chain currently has 250 UK stores, employing around 12,000 staff.

    The face of the UK High Street is changing in the wake of the economic slowdown. M&S, House of Fraser, Carpetright, Mothercare and New Look are all closing branches. Now John Lewis have announced that 5 Waitrose food stores are set to close - affecting more than 200 staff. Co-Op will take over four of the locations - 2 in Manchester, 1 in London and 1 in Birmingham.
  • Wine +

    Last year 80 new vineyards opened in England - up 25 per cent on the previous year. English wine now ranks among the top 10 wine producing nations , having just been awarded 128 medals at the International Wine Challenge. The JD Weatherspoon chain have also announced that they will stop selling French and Germany wine after Brexit, fueling a growing demand.
