Well it´s the lull before the storm as filming starts this coming Monday, 24th March of the 7th series of the ITV hit comedy "Benidorm"! Series 6 pulled in 6.8 million viewers - proving its ongoing popularity with the British public. The cast have been in rehearsals this week and you may even be lucky enough to see them out and about in town. The Primoti trucks are already stationed outside the Pink House - which is the base for the crew as well as the set for the reception and the "Blow & Go" beauty salon.

Derren Litten, the genius behind this mega successful series announced some changes ahead of filming - to mixed reactions of tears and joy.

Firstly, the Garvey family will be leaving during this series, but as Derren said, "in Benidorm it´s always adios and never goodbye". To soften that blow he also announced the return of some popular past characters: The Oracle - actor Johnny Vegas together with his mum, oops PA Noreen - actress Elsie Kelly and Janey Yorke - Crissy Rock, the Solana boss before Joyce Temple-Savage (Sherrie Hewson) took over in series 5.

Excitement started building at the beginning of this month when they began castings for the extras - the queues outside the Melia hotel were full of very excited locals. Holiday makers actually booked their holidays to coincide with filming - many phoning the Sol Pelicanos hotel to check if they will be there. It is absolutely fantastic for the resort, with all businesses benefiting tremendously - and long may it continue!
