However, as there are more than 28 different nationalities living in the community it can be challenging said Bart Gommans, Councillor for the Department of Foreign Residents.
To address this issue Bart has announced plans to lauch a new digital newsletter for EU residents, with information on current events such as seminars, trips, fiestas, performances etc which take place in the municipality of La Nucia. Further to my story about Benidorm Town Hall cutting 30% of street lighting to save on money La Nucia are following suit. They are introducing the second phase of energy saving measures in order to save 450,000€ of their one million euro electricity bill by switching off lights in public buildings (at night), reducing the time that the fountains are on for and reducing the lighting in the municipality.
