The eyesore that stood for many years on the crossroads of Avd. Mediteraneo and Avd. Europe is at long last being demolished. The derelict buildings had been boarded up for at least the last10 years and the Town Hall has been insistent that they are demolished as they were both a danger and unsightly. At one point they said if the landlord did not start then the authorities would take over and bill him for the costs. Perhaps this threat worked or maybe it is Town Hall at work but at least they are going. Wonder what will replace it .... another hotel, Chinese shop - a bit short of those !!!! A car-park would be helpful, especially over the busy Summer period to alleviate the parking problems but who knows how the authorities think. Watch this space for updates....
