This Sunday, March 4, Benidorm Palace is the place to head for what is most probably the single biggest fundraiser event ever held here in aid of two local dog charities – Benidorm Dog Homing and Manos y Patos. “Save My Life” is a charity fundraiser and all about exactly that, saving the lives of numerous dogs left abandoned, unloved and unwanted.
This is the fourth successive year that the event has taken place, organized by two local expats – Dona Sandland and David Duncan, both volunteers at Benidorm Dog Homing. But this year it is on a scale like never before as the event is being held at Benidorm’s biggest and most iconic landmark – Benidorm Palace.
Owner Christine Climent, like most Brits is passionate about animals and despairs at the mistreatment many are subjected to here. She was only too delighted to be able to offer her fabulous and prestigious venue for such a worthy cause… and of course, there has been no shortage of entertainers keen to offer their talents, all for free, for the chance to perform on the greatest stage here.
Doors open at 12 Noon and tickets are a nominal €5, available now from the box office, for which you will get to see some of Benidorm’s best entertainers all under one roof. There will also be a raffle with some incredible prizes all donated by local businesses, so dig deep for this marvelous event.
Food is available so you can make an entire afternoon of it – chicken or fish & chips for only €8 and seating is on a first come first serve basis, so if you want to bag a good seat arrive early as it will be packed!
The running order for the afternoon is as follows:
