For those with younger children you’ll be delighted to hear that Aqua Natura Water Park in Benidorm has just opened a new zone called Adventure Island. It has been specifically designed for children up to the age of 12 and set in shallow water, with gentle slopes and no steps.

The animal theme of Terra Natura next door is evident, with a large bright lion and tiger head taking prime position at the top of the slides and there are numerous plumes, water fountains and even a 400 litre water bucket, ready to cascade down when full and drench everyone underneath.

The main part has a thatched roof with more animals hanging down, creating a fun talking point for the children.. and also providing that important shady area to protect from the blistering sun - although of late that has been somewhat lacking! But come July and August it will cetainly come into its own.

Don't forget that there is a FREE sealion show three times a day plus you can book for a sealion experience (€38) where you get to play and swim in the water with them and for aspiring mermaids, you can book into the Mermaid School (€20) where you get to dress up, have your make up done and become a mermaid!
Open from 10:30am every day – until 6:30pm weekdays and 7:30pm at weekends and throughout July and August. The No 1 bus goes there from the Rincon de Loix otherwise if driving a large car park is on site. There is currently a 2x1 offer with vouchers widely available in the local papers - valid until June 30 so certainly worth making your way for a great saving.
