Members of the 'Free Spirits HD Harley Enthusiasts Club' roared into Albir this morning where they stopped off for a coffee at the Brew Rock Bar. It is part of their annual Christmas run - an 80km route from Pedreguer to Benidorm and a way of putting a smile on everyone's faces… which they certainly achieved.
In fact, it was hard to tell who was more excited, the children seeing so many Santas or the men eager to check out the gleaming chrome! There was even a Mother Santa, who needed a little helping hand to manoeuvre her Harley into the layby... well they are extremely heavy!
Each year they choose a different charity to support – last year they raised €3,670 for Cancer Care in Javea. This year they are collecting for two good causes: SCAN – Society for the Care of Animals in Need based in El Verger, northern Costa Blanca and HELP of Denia & Marina Alta.
After their pit-stop in Albir they headed down to Benidorm, where they cruised along the Levante promenade then back to Calpe where they stopped off for lunch before heading back home. Well done guys – you certainly put a smile on many faces today and what glorious weather we had for it. Perfect blue sky and temperatures in the 20’s – hard to believe its only 2 weeks till Christmas!
