3 Kings

  • The spectacular Three Kings parade took place in Benidorm this evening – a tradition repeated in many towns and cities across Spain on the eve of ‘Los Reyes Magos’ tomorrow, which is a bank holiday here. The floats left from Dove Park – a little later than the scheduled time of 6pm and the evening sunset made for a beautiful backdrop as they set off. Thousands lined the streets on what was a very mild evening to cheer as they all passed, which included a vast assortment of animals this year.

  • The annual Three Kings parade took place in Benidorm last Saturday evening (January 5), comprising of 12 floats and over 800 participants as well as bands and numerous livestock! The procession set off from Dove Park a little after the advertised 6pm start with a ‘hiccup’ when the tractor pulling the Kings float wouldn’t go, resulting in a rather long gap. It left many of the organisers running about in a panic – fortunately things got moving after about a 20 minute delay. The first part of the parade had a carnival like theme, with fun floats of cartoon characters, with dance routines and bands in between each float.

  • The annual Three Kings parade took place in Benidorm this evening (Thursday 5th) with Melchor, Gaspar and Baltasar the stars of the event. Setting off (on time) at 6pm from Parque de Elche (Dove Park) in the old town, numerous floats – some themed and others of a religious theme were interspersed with animated dance routines and bands.

  • The spectacular Three Kings parade took place in Benidorm old town this evening (Friday 5th) – a tradition repeated in many towns and cities across Spain on the eve of  ‘Los Reyes Magos’  tomorrow, which is a bank holiday here. The floats left from Dove Park just at the start of sunset, making for a beautiful backdrop, finshing at the town hall and onto the L´Aiguera Park where fireworks signalled the end of the event.
