Coloured slides seen for miles around |
As is tradition, the park allows the first 100 children in for free - and there certainly wasn´t a shortage of them! Over 2,500 people went through the turnstile - quite a number!

Verti-Go

Going down on Verti-Go |
The newest addition at Aqualandia is Verti-Go - twin slides of which the red one, at 33 metres is the world´s highest capsule slide! You really do need nerves of steel for this one as entry is through an airtight capsule where the trap door opens without warning and down you go!
Don´t forget to smile!

Watching the trap door opening |
There is a camera recording that moment, which is played live at the bottom, on a television screen. There always seemed to be a crowd gathered around it - delighting in the look of horror on the persons face as the trap door opens! However, it couldn´t have been that bad as most insisted on going back on again.
Plenty of lifeguards

Plenty of lifeguards on duty |
One thing which I have to say about all the rides is that they are very well manned. At the bottom of each is a lifeguard and he waits until the person is down and heading out of the water before he gives the ok thumbs up to let the next person down. Although sometimes it may seem like you are queuing for ages, that will be the reason - safety.

Shady picnic areas |
There are plenty of shady picnic areas, where you can eat your packed lunch in addition to a number of food outlets - only a few were open but as it gets busier and into full season they will all be open. There are plenty of sun beds to lie on too - however, they are not free.

Plenty take in their own cool boxes full of food & drink |
You have to pay 4€ which personally I think should be included in the ticket price. A whole day ticket for an adult is 35€ and for a child, aged between 4 and 12 years old, it is 27€ - under 4´s go in for free. You can get half day tickets, valid after 3pm which cost 23€ and 19€ respectively.
They also offer a combined Aqualandia & Mundomar ticket for 47€ (adult) and 35€ (child) - Mundomar is a marine animal park and right next door to Aqualandia.
Lots for little ones

Adventureland - for the little ones |
There are some fantastic areas specially designated for smaller children, with plenty to keep them amused and all in shallow water. "Adventureland" has slides, mazes, water throwers to name a few - plus a lifeguard in the water. "Lagoon" also has an area appropriate for younger children.
Easy to find

Me with the elephant inside the entrance |
It is easy to get to Aqualandia. If coming by car head towards Benidorm Place and follow the road almost opposite at the traffic light. Head up as far as it will go and you will find Aqualandia at the end - one great thing is that the car park is free.
If coming by bus then you will need to take either the No 1 or No 11 or alternatively get a taxi - if there are 4 of you then it´s probably better value and quicker!
Discount Vouchers
There are plenty of discount vouchers around now for all the theme parks - however, a word of warning. Some of them, such as the ones from Carrefour are dated till 30th June only - so don´t get caught out! They all offer the same wherever you get them from - 6€ for adults and 4€ for children.
