Most people associate the name
Asa Elliott with the sexy good looking singer from the
Benidorm series - which is where he sprang to fame in many peoples minds. But he had been on the television before - back in 2004 when he performed on the ITV talent show "Stars in their Eyes" singing the famous Bobby Vee number "The Night Has a Thousand Eyes".

Asa is now back in the UK having done a short stint at
Sinatras - and was celebrating his beloved Blues winning the Premier League at the weekend! However, get your tissues out girls, he will not be in the
Benidorm series currently being filmed. But as he told me over a coffee, he will always be grateful and very appreciative of the opportunities that appearing on the show has given him career wise.

Last year he not only appeared but headlined in Aladdin and this year he is extremely excited to be appearing in his 3rd panto - Cinderella which will be on at the Pomegranate Theatre in Chesterfield from 5th December until 4th January. No guessing who Asa will be playing - obviously Prince Charming and his Cinderella will be Queen of the Ballroom and Strictly Come Dancing star Camilla Dallerup. In that 1 month period they will be performing a staggering 50 shows.... and he can hardly wait.

But before Asa heads off into the land of panto and the chanting of "He´s behind you" he has another exciting project, starting in September. One of his lifetimes ambitions, which he revealed to me back in 2012 was to appear in a West End musical. Well that will become reality as he will be the star of "The West End Experience" 2014 tour - a showcase of the top West End musicals, past and present bought to the stage by Andrew Harding Productions. Asa will be singing and dancing from hit shows such as Chicago, Mamma Mia, We Will Rock You and many more - it sounds like it is going to be a simply stunning show.

One of Asa´s last appearances in the Benidorm series and what most now remember him by, was singing "Windmill in Old Amsterdam" at Neptunes Bar in the last episode of series 6, for the visiting "Dutch dignitaries" ! Many still come up to him even now and start chanting "I saw a mouse" which he finds really funny.
