Emma & Debbie both looking radiant on their special day

There are plenty of acts on the Benidorm entertainment circuit, but one which features on most peoples lists are singing duo Debbie and Emma - better recognised as "DebnHer".
The phenomenal pair are highly regarded by both fellow entertainers and their legion of fans - which was more than evident when they got married in September. Their special day was shared by over 200 guests - many of them flying in especially for the event.

I met up with the girls at The Peppermill for a drink and chat, a favourite of theirs and located just before Villamar camping on the road heading out of Benidorm.

Originally from Bradford, Debbie has now been living in Benidorm for 9 years. She was a solo act, performing under the name "Deb on Air", a name which originated from her hairstyle at the time she explained - straight up with plenty of gel so that it looked like it was standing on air! She was performing at Hero´s Bar in La Cala and it was there that she met Emma, who was working as a barmaid. Emma only planned on staying for 3 months, then going back to Sheffield, but 8 years on the pair are happily settled here.

The pair have been performing as a duo for 6 years now and I can´t get over how modest and appreciative they are of their success and achievement. They reiterated how thankful they were to all the people that come to watch them and always make a point of speaking to them after their performances.... you really couldn´t find a nicer and more humble couple. They take nothing for granted and are most grateful for the opportunities that they have been given here.

As well as performing 12 shows per week as a duo, Emma also does various solo acts - Celine Dion, Diva´s Show and a new Whitney Houston tribute. They are also in the process of forming a new group, teaming up with Nick Baker to become "De-Toppers", a non-stop upbeat high energy dance classics show. Meanwhile, Debbie runs her own production company and being a particularly creative person it comes as no surprise that she is also an extremely talented artist, specialising in abstract paintings. She is looking to display them in a gallery or exhibition - I am sure that there will be plenty of interest.

They are both passionate about dogs and currently have 3 rescue ones, with another about to join the family. They have recently moved and have a huge plot which is great for the dogs. They pair often perform at charity fundraisers - especially if it is to do with animals.

They are both thoroughly looking forward to Christmas - but will be working throughout. They are star billing on New Years Eve at The Tropical, and will be welcoming in 2014 with a brand new medley of songs which they are putting together. They are on from 11pm until 12.30am  but get there early as I am sure it will be packed out. It certainly comes as no surprise that the pair were voted the best entertainers in Benidorm by Cool fm listeners - if you haven´t had the pleasure yet then you are certainly missing out!
