Never to do things by half, St Patrick´s Day celebrations were already well under way yesterday in the heart of Benidorm. Not content with just celebrating on the actual day, it has become a weekend event!

The sun was shining, everyone was out on the terraces and the drink was definitely flowing. Many of the bars had made a great effort, decorating them with Irish bunting and shamrock flags - it looked like a mini Ireland!

I spoke to some of the revellers and a great deal of them had come over just for this weekend, knowing that Benidorm was a good place to be... possibly something to do with the price of the beer here! Many of the bars had special St Patrick offers on too making it even more affordable. The Flash Hotel have a special 2 x 1 offer on Guinness and San Miguel this weekend!

Well I´m sure that there will be many sore heads before the weekend is over and that the journey back to the airport on Monday will be a very quiet affair!
