Evening entertainment is plentiful in Benidorm and if you want to dance then there are plenty of clubs around the Rincon de Loix. However, if you prefer a proper dance, of the strictly-come-dancing variety as opposed to the ear piercing mega decibel thud blared out from the nightclubs, then head to the casino.
Up on the first floor of the Casino Mediterraneo – which is located at the Rincon end of the Avd Mediterraneo, there is a vast function area, where four nights per week they host a dinner dance with live entertainment. On other nights the hold poker tournaments there.
Starting at 9pm every Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday you will sit down to a four course meal – salad followed by starter, main, dessert with bread and a drink for only €15, which at today´s exchange is under 11 GBP! There is a bar upstairs together with waiter service – incredible value for the quality and standard of service offered.
Then for aprox two hours, starting at 10pm until around midnight you will be entertained with some fabulous live music and singing – each night there is different theme and group to which you can dance away.
You can just turn up on the day but if you want to go with a group I would advise pre-booking to ensure you have a table reserved.
There is no need to get your tiara and dinner suit out, it´s more of a casual relaxed dinner dance - but long trousers only. It certainly fills a hole if you fancy doing something other than just sitting and listening to a tribute group or comedian while here – or fancy a dance but don´t want to be competing with a scantily clad 20 something year old with electronic strobe lights blinding you.
Once finished you can always have a flutter on the roulette tables on your way out – but don´t forget, you must take your passports for ID to enter the casino, even if you don´t intend on gambling.
