Benidorm Stylistics - Smooth & Naughty
The clock is ticking down.... Benidorm series 7 is about to hit our screens tonight and social media networks are already going into overdrive! Since the cast and crew finished filming and packed up back in June, fans have been eagerly awaiting the release date of this latest series. Over the years they have featured a resident singer at the ficticious "Neptunes" nightclub – in series 6 it was Asa Elliott and before him Shaun Foster-Conley. For this series they have used a number of established and popular Benidorm acts – the first of which you will see in tonights first episode – The Stylistics! The suave and uber slick threesome are made up of Leroy Cherlery, Kojo Adisi and Leroy Davis – otherwise known as Leroy Smokes.
Benidorm´s hidden secret
The boys are currently taking a break from The Stylistics, but will be back on the Benidorm circuit mid March. Kojo continues to perform as part of a "Tribute to The Drifters", Leroy Smokes carries on as part of "The Fantstics" as well as doing a solo show but Leroy C is back in London with his 2 gorgeous daughters, Tia aged 9 and baby Aisha, who is only 4 months old. In between changing nappies (he´s a hands on dad), he has been performing around the UK, topping the bill at the Marriott Hotel on New Years Eve and even jetting off abroad doing private shows! When he´s back in the Spring, in addition to The Stylistics line up Leroy also does a solo show, performing as Leroy C at the Riviera Music Lounge. He is also a songwriter and putting together a mini album, but his background many may be surprised to learn, is from a performing arts background – having trained at the Internationally aclaimed Italia Conti Academy. He has been on stage in top shows including Jesus Christ Superstar, Carousel at the Royal National Theatre on Shaftsbury Avenue and played the part of Rocky in The Rocky Horror Show.
Stars of Neptunes Bar in Benidorm series 7
In tonight´s debut you will see The Stylistics performing two of their most popular songs – "So in love with You" and "I can´t give you Everything". They were delighted to be asked to be in the hit show, which came about after the shows writer and creator Derren Litten came in to watch them at the Stardust, where they are exclusive. He then returned a number of times, with cast members and crew and unsurprsingly, they all became huge fans of the group.
Sad farewell to The Garveys
As everyone knows the Garvey clan leave during this series and The Stylistics perform a real tear-jerker in the finale, so get your hankies at the ready... it is a well known song that everyone is familiar with. You will see the boys in other episodes after tonight, so keep watching every Friday and then when they are back in March you can go and see them in the flesh... and boy, what toned fit flesh it is!
