Step back in time and visit the Medieval Market in Benidorm this weekend – located in Dove Park at the beginning of the Poniente beach in the old town. On until tomorrow evening (Sunday 12) there are plenty of stalls, processions and demonstrations of bygone crafts.
The stalls have a variety of artisan goods for sales such as jewellery, leather goods, soaps, trinkets in addition to food stalls with hams, cheeses, herbs & spices, dried fruits and teas. To add to the authenticity, many of the stallholders are dressed in period costume too.
For those that are feeling a little peckish – although not for vegans, there is a bbq with a delicious selection of ribs, sausages, suckling pigs as well as a paella to try. Dove Park can be found at the end of Passeo de la Carretera, or the 'walking street' as many refer to it. It’s just something a little different to see and sample whilst here in the resort.
