  • One thing that Spain does well is tradition and this weekend (4-7 May) Benidorm has gone back in time to be transformed into the Middle Ages with the arrival of a travelling Medieval Market, attracting plenty of visitors to Parc d’Elx (Dove Park) at the start of the Poniente beach. It goes to many towns across the region and only last weekend in took place in Vilajoyosa. A great place to spend an hour or so if here in the resort - something you probably won´t see back home!

  • The annual Medieval Market is up and running in Benidorm, located at the Parc d´Elx – or Dove Park, in the Old Town. It is a lot bigger this year and the road that runs parallel with the promenade has been closed to traffic to accommodate stalls. There are random processions, demonstrations and entertainment going on throughout the day and most of the stall holders are dressed in period costume to add to the authenticity.

  • The annual Medieval Market opened in Benidorm yesterday evening, this year located in Parc d´Elx (Dove Park) at the start of Poniente beach and the bottom of the "Paseo de la Carretera" - or walking street as it is better known. Dove Park is a lovely shady park with plenty of palm trees where you can sit to people watch, a very popular Spanish pastime and with a massive population of white doves

  • Benidorm’s annual ‘Medieval Market’ located along Dove Park at the beginning of the Poniente beach in the Old Town is open and will remain so until Sunday night – May 13. Throughout the 3 days there will be processions, demonstrations and entertainment, plus many of the stallholders are dressed in period costumes to add to the authenticity. You can even watch craftsmen at work, carving wood, chipping stone, baking bread and cutting leather. The stalls have a varied selection of handcrafted goods such as soaps, jewelry, leather goods, clothing, toys and trinkets in addition to many food stalls with hams, cheese, bread, herbs & spices and dried fruits and nuts.

  • The annual Medieval Market is up and running in Benidorm, located in Parc d´Elx (Dove Park) at the start of Poniente beach and on until this evening – Sunday May 8. There are lots of stalls along the promenade plus randon processions and demonstrations throughout the day. If you are hungry, there´s a delicious bbq with sausages, ribs, spit roast pig and a ginormous paella!

  • The night market "Les Nits del Castell" up at the Mirador in Benidorm Old Town has started - and will be on until the 15th September. The Mirador is home to probably the most spectacular view of Benidorm - you can see both the Levante and Poniente bays from there. It is a very popular tourist spot and a great place for an evening stroll - with plenty of bars to enjoy a drink while taking in the view.

  • Step back in time and visit the Medieval Market in Benidorm this weekend – located in Dove Park at the beginning of the Poniente beach in the old town. On until tomorrow evening (Sunday May 12) there are plenty of stalls, processions and demonstrations of bygone crafts plus to add to the authenticity and atmosphere, many of the stallholders are dressed in period costume.
