The annual Carnival parade took place in Benidorm on Saturday evening, with the procession starting at the top end of Calle Ruzafa and finishing in the Town Hall square. There was an array of costumes and themes and surprisingly, hardly any duplicates, but plenty of imagination.
The music blasted out along the route through loudspeakers, which had been placed at regular intervals – and boy was it loud! The participants danced their way down, most with a drink in hand to get them in the party mood and there was a great atmosphere throughout.
Plenty of spectators turned out to watch and cheer them on, taking photographs and videos but wrapped up snugly against the cold. The partying will certainly continue in the giant marque – with a well stocked bar and DJ… most probably into the early hours of the morning.
