  • Benidorm Palace has once again surpassed itself with their new show ‘Aqua’ - which doesn’t need much translating as it is probably the one word that everyone knows. Each year they produce a new jaw dropping show and you cannot believe that it can be topped, but somehow, they just do!
    Quite how they manage to get water cascading down onto the stage without getting the audience soaked in the process is a feat in itself and done in a truly spectacular manner - the imagination is mind blowing and my goodness, so dramatic like nothing ever seen before.

  • Following on in the theme of the four elements, the new show at Benidorm Palace is called FIRE, with Aqua (water) and Terra (earth) already covered.   • It’s approaching that time of the year when the resorts premier entertainment venue, Benidorm Palace, changes its show. The launch date is fast approaching - April 27 and the new show for 2016/17 is called “I-CONS”. I met with Artistic Director David Moore to see what is in store for us this time and managed to watch the dancers rehearsing some of the new routines.

  • The Merseyside area of the UK was the birthplace of many great bands throughout the 1960´s which then went on to International recognition, the most famous of which was probably The Beatles.Over the last year Benidorm Palace has hosted some legendary Merseybeat groups - both "The Searchers" and "The Merseybeats"  have performed in this stunning venue - and on Sunday 23rd March another iconic group will be added to that list.

The Foundations, remembered for their iconic hits such as ´Build me up Buttercup´ and ´Baby, Now that I´ve found you´ will be joined by Dave Berry, fondly remembered for his melodic hit ´The Crying Game´ and Vanity Fare who released ´Early in the Morning´ and ´Hitchin´ A Ride´. It is all about fiestas in different places and mixes modern with traditional. From the moment the lights go down it’s full on and will leave you spellbound with the energy, colour and passion delivered by the troupe of performers. There isn’t time to draw breathe as one number seamlessly blends straight into the next with no gaps between one part and the next. Many of the numbers give a feeling of audience interaction, with dancers appearing from the auditorium and weaving their way up to the stage.

  • Benidorm Palace shook last night as it hosted 2 great names from yesteryear - Comic Stan Boardman and the 60´s Merseybeat group "The Swinging Blue Jeans".They all flew in yesterday lunchtime and headed to the Palace for a sound check before the evenings performance.The band had been performing down in Bognor on the Saturday night - in fact, they have had a very hectic touring schedule of late.

Without fail, they somehow manage to achieve the unachievable every year, improving on what appears to already be a spectacular show.   • The Palace was a total sell out last night with virtually every seat taken – it’s been a while since I’ve seen even the very back row jam packed. Liverpool funnyman Stan Boardman opened the show and quickly had the entire venue roaring with his not always so politically correct gags which everyone loved. After an interval the fabulous Walk Like a Man quartet took to the stage, suited and booted, to a rave reception from the entire room and many ended up dancing in the aisles.

This was evident last night as Benidorm Palace was packed to the rafters for the Help 4 Heroes/Elche Children´s Home fundraiser. Crowds were already waiting outside an hour before the doors even opened, eager to get a good seat and the chance to see the likes of Chesney Hawkes, Jimmy Cricket, Josh Daniels and Stacey Solomon.

  • Friday night was a memorable occasion for the Climent family - owners of not only Benidorm´s top entertainment venue, but also Europe´s. Proud parents Christine and Vicente watched as son David, illusionist at Benidorm Palace made history by becoming one of the youngest ever recipients of the prestigious Merlin Award, akin to the Oscars in the film industry. Tony Hassini – Chairman and CEO of The International Magicians Society flew over from New York especially for the event, which was presented to David after the premier of the new show “Q”.
